Today i sat thinking to myself about just how long it took me to make the Sock Monkey in the above picture....HOURS!!! My hands are arthritic and they are taking me so much longer to make than they used to , because of the tedious sewing involved and gripping and pulling at the needle in small steps and stages, so much so that it hurts.Some would say stop what you are doing but it gives me so much joy once a monkey is complete i just cant! I also guess its a form of therapy for the hands as well as the mind lol ! I have so much respect and admiration for anyone that tries to continue through everyday tasks and hobbies it takes twice as long to do/make things and i never really realised the pain they must endeavour until now! Just my thoughts for today :) x

Well i did it lol! Tried something new and started to make my own unique handmade jewelery! I opened a second store! I find the excitement of making sock monkeys and jewelery just as exciting as eachother! Although sock monkeys are and will always be my no1 love :OP
I started making basic jewelery pieces just to get the hang of the basics,eventualy puttig in more and more time learning new styles and aslo learning tequniques,as well as doing lots and lots of searching and reading and chatting to other jewlery makers whom i am gratefuly thankful for all the love suppor tand advice i was given throughout,especialy my friend Lisa who gave me the smacked hands when i got it wrong ha ha ! nooo she was nice and really very patient with me so i am forver in her debt with gratitude!
